The Lazy (Video) Podcast #11 – Candy Edition

Today, while grocery shopping, I ran across an unmarked stand hidden away in the Gibsons Marketplace IGA. It didn’t even have price tags on most of the things (I later found out that they hadn’t been put on yet, but were in a pile under one of the boxes, that’s how I knew how much everything would cost), and was full of chocolate bars and other candy that I had never heard of. Things like a “Lion Bar“, a giant slab of Bassett’s Nougat (just nougat, no chocolate or anything), a “Violet Crumble“, “Galaxy” chocolate (turns out Galaxy is sold in Canada and the States, among a few other countries, as “Dove” chocolate. Which I’ve also never tried.), a “Galaxy Ripple“, something called a “Sherbet Fountain“, and a bunch of other stuff I didn’t buy, like Cadbury “Buttons“, and all sorts of weird and very expensive imported candy.

I picked up $10 worth. If I were to buy one of everything there, it’d be well over $25 bucks. For stale (the best before date on half of it is two months ago) imported candy. Anyway, I got one Lion Bar, one slab o’ Bassett’s Nougat, one Violet Crumble, one Galaxy Ripple, and two Bassett’s Sherbet Fountains. My mom ended up getting a giant package of Galaxy chocolate. Just like any other giant chocolate bar/slab. I’ll be trying that as well.

Anyway, after I got home, I decided that I might as well make a video podcast out of it, as I was going to take pictures of all the candy anyway for the blog. After that, I decided that I might as well review each chocolate bar/kind of candy that I bought over the next week or two, so I can tell other Canadians what the candy is like. I plan on going back to pick up whatever I didn’t get this time in two weeks when I go shopping again, if I can get out to the Marketplace IGA there. (I usually shop at the one in Wilson Creek where my mom works, rather than the one where my dad works. I suppose I could have him pick up the candy for me, though.)

Anyway, here’s the video:

The Lazy Podcast #10: Wiidiculous.

First of all, a note about the title: I’m waiting for BillyBob to come online sometime, because I rented Mario Strikers Charged to play with him ($10 for 7 days. jeez.) and it’s nearly been four days now, and he’s still not on. It’s getting Wiidiculous.

Okay, so, I’ve not posted in a while, nor have I posted a podcast since the 8th of October, so here we go. In this one, of course, I start of as usual, by playing my guitar poorly and talking about it. Towards the end I have actual information that only the people who listen to the end (or skip to) get to hear! That’s right, I’m withholding information, baby, and if you don’t like it, you can listen to the podcast.

Anyway, in this one I play chords. Yeah. Chords. Three of ‘em. D, G, and Em. Impressive? No, but I still like ‘em.

So without further adieu:

Lazy Podcast 09: It’s been a while…

In this iteration of “The Lazy Podcast”, I pull out my long lost guitar, and attempt to play it, only to find that I now suck at it! Surprise surprise.

Funny thing, though, the callouses I got from playing it the first time still haven’t faded, so.. w00t for me.

Podcast 08: Failure

I had planned on recording this to be a video podcast, but it didn’t work, and I didn’t want to record it again.

So here’s the rundown in text:

Alrighty, ‘ere’s a quick update!

I’ve been playing a few games this week. Mainly Tony Hawk’s Project 8 on the 360 (I’m almost #4!), Battlefield 2142 on the PC (Ben and Quin both got the game, so it’s even more fun now!) and Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword (it’s awesome. No, seriously. If you own Civ IV, but not this expansion, you’ve no idea what you’re missing. It feels as if it completes the parts of the game you didn’t know you were missing. The idea of playing Civ IV or Civ IV: Warlords without BtS is gross.)

I watched The Fifth Element in HD, thinking anything in 720p was good.

It isn’t. It sucked.

I hate eWeek, I don’t want it anymore, make it stop coming to my house.

Maybe I’ll record a different video podcast this week, but for now, you’ll have to deal with not seeing my greasy acne-ridden unkempt-hair covered face. ;)

Lazy Podcast 07 – “Video”

Since it’s hosted by revver, there’s a short ad before viewing the video. But, you can just mute it, or something, and wait for the podcast to start! :D

Also, every time you view one of the ads, I get like… .. point five of a cent, so.. w00t for me. ;)

–update–

The video isn’t working right now. Don’t know why. I’mm’a leave it, and see if Revver fixes it. If not, I’ll either re-upload it, or try YouTube or something instead.
