02/27/2010 – With Glowing Hearts

Today I took a trip down to Vancouver to see the “Olympic Atmosphere” I had heard so much about, do a wee bit of Olympic-related sightseeing, and some shopping. I made a wrong choice footwear-wise, and was unable to walk around much, but what I did see was tonnes of people (a lot of whom weren’t from Canada) all enjoying our culture and greatest (in my opinion) city.

Like all the tourism ads for BC say–”British Columbia 2010 — You Gotta Be Here.” The crowds were electric. The people on the SkyTrain and even on the ferries were all abuzz about the Olympics. Buses driving around town had messages supporting Canada, and gold medal counts flashing on their route signs. It was wicked.
