Bizarre.

I find myself at my computer as much as ever lately, but I also find that not only do I never post any updates to my blog (usually caused by my incessant tweeting on Twitter) but I also never ever post any updates to Twitter, either, lately.  I just don’t feel the compulsive urge to update every time I do anything anymore.  It might come back, who knows.

But for now, yes, expect less blog/Twitter postage. :(

(That’s not to say I’m not active online–I still use ze internet like 24/7. or.. 12/7, as I sleep from time to time.)

P.S.  It might be because I spend all of my time playing videogames as of late–Team Fortress 2, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2, Command & Conquer 3: Kane’s Wrath, etc.  (Oh, and on that note, I pre-ordered Red Alert 3!  W00t!)

Oh damn, I just realized I never even posted when I got ma’ new laptop, known as Weatherlight, or there’d be a Weatherlight category.  I’ll have to make a full post about that sometime, but for now, it’s a gaming laptop by ASUS, a G50V-A1.  It’s rock solid.  (And apparently heart touching, according to ASUS’ slogan.)

All these pictures…

Are killing my blog’s style.  Maybe it’s the way Flickr formats the posts, maybe it’s the fact I never write anything verbose anymore, I don’t know.  But what I do know is that I have been spending quite a bit of cash lately, and getting all sorts of new gadgets and/or tech toys. I bought a new laptop, a BlackBerry Curve, a PlayStation 3, and tonnes of games in the last few months.  I’ve been spending money like mad, and I think it’s finally time to save some cash.  I have a few more purchases to make before I go into savings mode:

  1. Pants.  Would you believe I only own two pairs of pants–one of which doesn’t fit all that well?  Yeah, true story.  I need more.
  2. Glasses.  I’ve dealt with the wrong prescription for years now, and it’s time to call it quits.  I’ll be buying a new pair of lenses/frames pretty soon at Costco, just as soon as I save up the dosh.
  3. A headset for my laptop–Something with nice speakers, and a good microphone.  I’ve got a few choices/ideas already.
  4. World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.  I want it.  No, seriously, more Warcraft lore = yes.  Plus Arthas kicks ass.

There are a few other things I’m interested in as well, but I wouldn’t call them major purchases–more issues of “Y: The Last Man”, Gears of War 2 whenever it gets cheap, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.. just a few cheap expansions, comics/graphic novels, actual novels, and a game while on sale, here and there.

I love it, it’s awesome, and no, you can’t have my old one. (It’s my work laptop now. The one I take on computer repair jobs, etc.)
