PSP™ アップデート ver X.YZ
I keep modding my PSP more and more.
I’m not interested in replacing the waves in the XMB, or the sounds, or the icons, or the theme. I want it to be like a PSP.
But now, at boot, instead of saying “Sony Computer Entertainment Presents…” or whatever it says, it plays part of the end of the intro movie from Final Fantasy VIII.
Awesome.
I’ll have to take and post a video of it later.
Page Updates:
I updated the Movies Games & Music page today. I really need to get a better way of organizing that stuff. :\
I also bought Work Time Fun for the PSP today at London Drugs. It was $20, and it’s probably the best $20 I’ve spent in the last few weeks.
Quadratisch. Praktisch. Gut.
Ritter Sport chocolate is easily my favourite kind of chocolate. It tastes phenomenal, and it’s German! That’s what makes it good.
Their slogan, “Square. Practical. Good.” in Germany makes perfect sense. I love it, it’s awesome, and I’m eating some right now.
They have twenty-some-odd different flavours, and reading the packaging (if you get German imported stuff) is nearly as fun as eating it. I like to see how much of it I can understand. As of now, I can probably get the jist of the whole thing, and maybe.. 70% of the actual meaning of everything.
Only upside to buying the North American stuff is it has the nutritional facts on it, so you know when to stop eating it. ;)
PSP: Hells Yeah.
I’ve got a new PSP! As such, I’ve added a new category; “Ragnarok.”
FutureShop finally had us come down and try and pick up my old PSP, but when I got there, they said it was irreparable. More-over, they were going to give me a new one! Yay!
As soon as I got it home, I read up about “Pandora’s Battery”, the new way to unbrick any borked PSP, so I’m finally able to try Homebrew software.
I currently have a custom firmware on it, complete with loading of PlayStation .isos, so I ripped Final Fantasy Origins (one of the only PSX games I own that isn’t multidisc), converted it, and just played a bit of Final Fantasy II on my PSP without buying the new version, or having a PS3.
As soon as my new battery gets here in the mail, I’ll be turning it into a “JigKick” battery so I don’t have to worry about bricking my beautiful new PSP. :)
Modern Warfare
I pre-ordered Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the PC today. I still haven’t tried the Xbox Live multiplayer beta (Canadians, along with the rest of the non-US world don’t get to try it ’til early September, and then only in limited numbers, so I might not even get to try it) but I think the game is going to be awesome anyway.
I’ve read previews, watched trailers, read up on stuff, and visit CharlieOscarDelta every day for new tidbits of information. I’m even in the top ranks for people to win prizes, there.
Only problem is they don’t offer any prizes or swag to non-US citizens.
Sometimes being a Canadian can blow, but I really wouldn’t give up all of the awesome things about it for some free swag, or contests. ;)
