Finish the Fight

[Note: This post is much more epic if you're listening to "Finish the Fight" by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori, from the Halo 3 soundtrack. Napster, iTunes, etc, all carry it. Even the Zune Store, I'd bet.]

Dude.

Halo 3.

Beta.

Crackdown… was worth it. Not only does that game rock, but the Halo 3 beta is like.. Halo 2 + Awesomeness.

And man, the Spartan Laser? So awesome. Plus, you can launch a Mongoose from the Man-cannon, and it’s hard as hell to land. If you do, though, sometimes you bounce up to the top of the map for no reason. A bug report should be filed, I guess, but.. it’s too fun to get rid of. ;)

Anyway,

Today after school, me and Quin went back to my place after dropping off a book at the Post Office to ship out to North Carolina via BookMooch.

Then we turned on my 360, pulled up chairs, and… were immensely disappointed. No Halo 3 Beta for us. It had been… POSTPONED.

I was all like: “I should’ve known…” and Quin was like: “But.. but.. I want H3!” and Ben was like: “I’m not here, so I have nothing to add to this story.”

Anyway, we–read: “I” –played some Crackdown, taking turns in the “Keys to the City” mode, blowing up countless millions of villains and civilians alike. It was fun for a while, but then we played some Gears of War.

After that, the 360 was gettin’ HOT, so I turned it off, and we watched Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

After that, we checked to see if Halo 3 was downloadable yet through Crackdown, and it was. And it’s awesome.

While it downloaded we went over to the store to procure some sweets for energy/caffeine/hypertension and when we got back it was just about finished. We sorted some Magic: The Gathering cards, and then settled in for a nice long …twoish hours of Halo 3.

It rocks.

It’s better than I thought possible, and it’s only an ugly-ass beta.

W. 0. 0. T.

I’m going to be upset after June 10th, ’cause for now, I forsee a future of Halo 3 every day after school. ;)

I guess I’ll have to pre-order the Legendary Edition from Amazon, eh?

If I had the Sci-Fi channel in Canada, and I wasn’t getting up in 6 and a half hours to go to Vancouver on the first ferry to go shoe-shopping and see a couple o’ movies, like Shrek the Third, I’d totally watch it.
