Battlefield 2142 Beta

I did it. I signed up for FilePlanet. Why? Dude, the BF2142 Beta. It rocks, by the way. I don’t think it can replace Battlefield 2 though. While it has many interesting aspects, it’s too.. big mechs, EMPs, laser-sights on pistols.. etc. I mean, it rocks, yes, but it probably won’t ever be my “Main Game.”

I’m sorry, what? (I can’t hear you over my computer!)

The fans I ordered from NCIX came. One word: Loud.

I can barely hear myself over them. Yep. Loud. So, I have one set to quiet, one set to freaka-loud, one set to medium. It’s .. acceptable, I suppose.

I’m going to have to figure out why it sounds like a small engine, or just get used to it.

Either way, my computer no longer overheats after playing BF2 for an hour. w00t.

V for Vendetta

I finally saw “V for Vendetta”, it was actually in when I went to rent movies at the corner store today. I have but one thing to say about this movie:

“Freedom! Forever!”

Yes, the movie rocked beyond belief. I found myself unable to stop watching it, even when I got hungry, I put off eating ’til the movie was over. It has a fantastic storyline, and it has gone to the top of my “Buy” list, along with Sin City. Apparently graphic novels make great movies, because these two ROCKED.

My only problem with the movie? It seems to condone anarchy, but then again, that was the whole point of the graphic novel. I thought the whole “Remember, Remember the Fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot; I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.” rhyme was very catchy, but really only when V was saying it. I know why Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Parliament building all those many years ago, but I don’t agree with him. That doesn’t mean I don’t think he should have done it, just not for the reasons he did. England was way too powerful for a time, and that would’ve knocked it off guard, now wouldn’t it? The only downside? There wouldn’t be a Canada! :-(

The Devil Wears Prada

I saw “The Devil Wears Prada” yesterday with Ben, his sister, and his mom. It was great. I also had to go to the dentist beforehand. That was not great. Anyway, the movie rocked beyond belief, and I have to go back to the dentist three more times. After that, I also need to get wisdom teeth pulled, which equates to *OMFGWHATAREYOUDOINGWITHTHATOHIWANTTODIEANDORKILLYOUYOUFIEND!*

In closing: I don’t know which emoticon to make, :( or :) I suppose a shrug will have to suffice.
