Napstah’

I’m currently using a free 7-day trial of Napster Premium.. or whatever it is, to download all the music I want for ten-odd dollars a month. A great deal, yeah? Not quite. You can’t /burn/ any of this music to any CDs, or listen to it on more than three PCs. Though there are ways around this, I’m not sure if Napster is the way I’m going to deal in online music. I can safely say that I won’t use Rhapsody (not available in Canada) or the iTunes Music Store (they have some good stuff, but not what I’m looking for, though it is in the US music store. *grumble grumble*). I don’t really like PureTracks (I once got a free 15 download thing from them, used it, got my songs, and oh ho, they don’t play anymore! They did for a while, but now the Licence Acquisition fails. Good thing I burned them to a CD before then. o_o)

Either way, Napster is looking pretty good because they were able to sell me Mindi Abair’s newest album, and I got a few Belle & Sebastian ones with a free eMusic trial, which, after I used it up, I promptly cancelled. Not interested guys, I just like B&S. :D

Either way, online-music-buying doesn’t seem that bad if you concider you can get all the music you want for $10 a month, but you just can’t burn it. But, like I said, there are ways around it. ;)
