Redesigned

Heh, a hillarious li’l movie I found just a few minutes ago. Whilst I’m sure almost everyone has already seen it; I thought I’d post a link to it here.

Mystery Solved

I recently signed up for a free usb thumbdrive from MS concerning Windows licencing stuff. Do I care? Probably not very much, but since they’re willing to give me the free thumbdrive, I’ll read it anyway. Who knows; maybe it’ll come in handy sometime down the road.

The ironic part?

I plan on using the thumbdrive to install Linux on my Xbox. Hurrah. ;-)

Check out the offer here.

Name That Box!

Yes, I still haven’t named the Compy-in-May formerly known as “Weatherlight.” I have a few more options, though.

  • Alack
  • Acheron
  • Yggdrasil

Right now, I’m leaning towards Yggdrasil. Look it up on Wikipedia. It fits with my Norse naming conventions. ;)

Shirt Afterlife

Yes, it has finally happened. My favourite shirt that has been full of holes, covered in stains, and falling apart for years has finally fallen apart. ‘Twas ripped in half, and now I think I’ll turn it into a tie.. or something. See my only photo of it –sadly, a rather bad onehere.

Video Woes

I recently bought a GeForce 6200 as the last upgrade to Freya before I buy the next comp in May, but I’ve noticed as of late that it randomly overheats. Why? I don’t know. It also makes my LCD turn blue at random, and most CRTs, when connected, make a weird squealing noise, and then pop, and then turn on and off at random. Yes, it’s freaky. Strange thing is my TV works fine on it, but everything is blurry. Just like any CRT monitor I hook up to it.

So, next time I’m in Gibsons, I’m thinking of returning it and just getting the same card, but.. y’know, not broken. If I can, though, I might return it, and spend a bit of extra cash to get a 6600GT that they have there. I really don’t care though, the 6200 is enough for me. But I don’t want to give my mom a broken Freya in May.

Oh, and I still haven’t decided on a name for the Compy-in-May. Either Weatherlight or Zhaor, at this point.
