Spoke too soon?

Hm. I’ve been playing StarCraft all day _(and by that I mean I played about five games, on and off throughout the day whilst watching yet another Trading Spaces marathon on TLC)_ and I’ve noticed I’m getting better. I’ve won a few games ‘gainst the computer as the Protoss, but have done nothing but horridly with the Zerg. I can get a big army with ‘em, just like the Protoss, but it’s just annihilated by the opposing force. As for Terran? I’ve not tried them much yet, but they seem to work pretty well. Just don’t like their units as much as the Protoss ones.

I’m lousy at StarCraft.

I don’t know why. I’m good at Warcraft, WoW, Diablo, D2, and all the expansions, but when it comes to StarCraft, I do nothing but lose.

No seirously.

Zerg: Everything is lookin’ great, I’ve got a nice li’l base built, and a pile of Zerglings and– BLAM! Six thousand Protoss destroy my base.

Protoss: Everything is going nicely, I’m warping in my first military units — BLAM! Zergling rush!

Terran: Everything is purdy, I hate the Terran, but I’ve got about 10 marines and two Firebats, and am just about to get more — BAM! Attacked by Protoss or Zerg.

And that’s against the CPU in Brood War.

The hell? How am I ever supposed to play online if I can’t even beat a computer? I find StarCraft’s offline story-mode type thingie with the campaign and the like is easy as hell, but the skirmishes? Save me!

Lame. . .

Last night was just.. ugh. First when me and my mom get home, we find out that the landlord has decided to put in a few trailers beside our house — (we live in a house at the back of a trailer park) — so he has to dig up our yard, and our water pipes aren’t working all that well, so we have no/hardly any water. Then, while me and Ben are playing Battlefield 1942 later that night, BAM! Power outage. Went from 9 PM to around 4 – 5 AM. Nasty. I listened to some music with my dad by candlelight through the li’l speakers I have that go with my NetMD Walkman, but eventually, we just both went to bed. Woke up in the middle of the night to the power going back and forth, got up, turned off the light (power was out again, but I flipped the switch so it wouldn’t flash again) and turned the power bar my computer is plugged into, off.

Soul Calibur

Yeah, I’ve started playing SC and SCII again, in preperation for SCIII’s release this -November- October. And uh, wait, it was released today. BUYAGE!

Oh, and I’m thinking of getting the Diablo II Battle Chest. Dude. Kick ass.

School has been good thus far, and I’m really getting back into the swing of it. Not once have I had to take the bus to or from it yet. :D
