Another one bites the dust. . .
Ben has left. Again. For two more weeks, so… I’ll finally have a life again.
See, he was gone for about a month, and he got back for a short while last Monday, so… we spent nearly every waking moment of the last week gaming. Yep. Lots of it. And because of this fact, I’ve not showered in two days, my room is a mess, my eyes burn, my body is sore, and I’m dizzy. Either way, I’m sad to see him leave again for the next two weeks, but now that it’s nearly August, I’ll have something to do again. Here are my plans for those two weeks thus far:
1) I have to watch those other three movies, I never got around to it.. so, yeah. Movies. Watch ‘em. They go back this Monday, so I’ve got all of tomorrow to watch them.
2) Get more unlicenced anime! I love it. Right now, because they’ve not as of yet released it in North America, I plan on getting all of Green Green and the subsequent OAV/OVAs, etc. Either way, w00t.
3) Get back into Linux. I was in it for the whole month Ben was gone, but the second he came back, I used Windows nearly exclusively for playing “Command & Conquer (TM) Generals Zero Hour” non-stop. I miss Linux, ’twas great, ’twas grand.
4) Watch even more movies! I need to get out of gaming again. When Ben first left, I needed to take a break from it, because of playing it non-stop for months, and now that I’ve spent every day for a week doing so, when I close my eyes, I can still see the game, and it dominates my dreams. Bah!
5) Watch some Star Trek. I miss it. I watched an episode of “The Next Generation”, today, and it was great. Too bad I can’t find any “Deep Space Nine” anywhere but on DVD for $100 a season. Blech.
6) I plan on buying some Buffy DVDs or some music. If I don’t get the fourth season of Buffy, and the first of Angel, I’ll either get the first of Deep Space Nine and a few CDs, or I’ll just get a hell of a lot of CDs. I plan on getting Apoptygma Berzerk’s “Welcome to Earth”, “In This Together” (released the 22nd of August), Belle & Sebastian’s “Dear Catastrophe Waitress”, and Mindi Abair’s “Come As You Are”, and possibly “It Just Happens That Way.”
Either way; music.
*OBLIGATORY ROBBIE WILLIAMS QUOTE*
Queen and Country safe and sound,
with villians six feet underground,
and no one knows ’cause noone’s found any trace
of a man for all seasons, loves them and leaves them alone,
so alone,
And you and I wouldn’t have a clue,
whose doing what, why, when and who,
up a creek with no canoe, watch out;
for the man for all seasons, loves them and leaves them alone…
so alone… (But safe at ho-ome!)
*OBLIGATORY ROBBIE WILLIAMS QUOTE*
If you’re wondering, I hate Robbie Williams usually, but that was the theme from “Johnny English”, and it was fantastic to no end. Seriously. It’s called “Man for all Seasons.”
Either way, this post has grown far too long.
And to all those in #CasualChat on DALnet IRC;
I’m back.

Johnny English
This is part three of my movie reviews, and if you’ve not as of yet checked out the parent article explaining said reviews, you can find it here.
Johnny English was a plain run-of-the-mill Rowan Atkinson comedy with a twist; this time he’s a spy.
If you’re a fan of both “Mr. Bean“, and “James Bond“, you’ll love Johnny English. It always keeps you wanting more, and has a rather unique sense of humour about it. I’d give it 4/5 stars. It could have earned more if it were longer.
Death to Smoochy
This is part two of my movie reviews, and if you’ve not as of yet checked out the parent article explaining said reviews, you can find it here.
The second film was entitled: “Death to Smoochy.”
Now I had heard about this title more than a few times, and it finally sparked my interest when perusing the gallery rentals at the local Movie Gallery.
I had heard from a few people that it wasn’t as childish or boring as one would assume. It actually ended up having a very unique plot, and it just seemed to never end; which was in this case, a good thing. It ends just the way you would expect it to, but it really shines. A fantastic movie, 5/5 stars. I’d reccomend this one to anyone who loves not only comedy, but to see their favourite actors, such as Danny DeVito, Robin Williams, or even Jon Stewart. Hands-down great film. The one thing I noticed, however, is that it has a lot of actors, and even a lot of the same accents that Robin Williams puts on, that are featured in the movie “Mrs. Doubtfire.” But that’s a plus, in my book. Made it rather nostalgic.
Serving Sara
This is part one of my movie reviews, and if you’ve not as of yet checked out the parent article explaining said reviews, you can find it here.
The first movie I watched was “Serving Sara”, and it was more kick-ass than any other romantic comedy I’ve seen yet. It really puts the “comedy” in the genre. 4/5 stars. It would’ve done better if a few things went a little differently, and there were obvious glitches in the movie, such as wearing a watch in one scene, and it being gone in the next. Other than that, fantastic story, fantastic actors, fantastic music; fantastic movie.
More Movies. . .
I rented six movies today, and watched three of ‘em. I plan on watching the next three sometime this week.
The movies I rented are:
Death to Smoochy
Serving Sara
Johnny English
Jackie Chan’s Project A2
Intolerable Cruelty
Civil Action
And as always, you can click the movie titles to be taken to their IMDb entry. I’ll most likely post my thoughts on these movies over the next couple of days, but for now, I’ve got to go.
